Hopkins Celebrates Seniors, but Fall to Rye

This past Saturday, Hopkins hosted the Rye Country Day Wildcats for our annual senior day and the last game of the MIFL regular season for the Hilltoppers.  The game began with a celebration of Hopkins 7 Seniors Nicolas Ciminiello ‘23, Miko Coakley ‘23, Max Kelly ‘23, Mikey Lau ‘23, Luke O’Connell ‘23 (captain), James Schmitt ‘23, Kevin Seiter ‘23, and honorary football senior Toby Scheps ‘24.  It was a beautiful day to recognize our seniors and thank them for their years of dedication to the Hopkins football program.

Once the game got underway, it would be tough sledding for the Hilltoppers who were burned for big plays throughout the game.  Hopkins' best play came on an early interception from Ezra Fearon ‘24 who jumped in front of a Rye pass to turn possession over to the Hilltoppers.  Unfortunately, Rye outmatched Hopkins early in the game and the Hilltoppers were not able to respond.

Hopkins heads into their bye week before the start of postseason play.  Stay tuned for updates on who Hopkins will face in their quarterfinal matchup, which will likely be on the road.
