Hopkins wins home opener

The Hilltoppers finally played their first home game of the season, beating Masters on a beautiful Friday afternoon.

Hopkins conceded very early before Nate Huang (11) found Wyatt Sloan (11) at the back post for a tidy finish. Sloan soon after turned provider to Munib Kassem (11), who scored with an insouciant backheeled volley.

In the second half, Charlie Tencic (12) fed Luca Angelini (12), who then blasted home with his left foot. Hopkins conceded late, and the game finished 3-2.

Hopkins heads to Albany on Sunday for the NXT LVL showcase. Kickoff against Pomfret is at 3:00.
