Double Header Day at Choate

Whitney Stewart
Hopkins won 4 matches out of 8 against surprisingly competitive Loomis, however final score 3-4. Next, we had incredible playing by Brendan at #1 against very tough Choate for a 1-6 result.
Loomis:   Hopkins won 12 games, but only 3 official matches of the day at #1, 2 and 7.  Brendan and Dylan led the team taking #1 and #2 decisively at 3-0.  Ronan did not play this one so everybody played up from #4 on:  Benjy, Dev and Ethan battled out 4-game matches that could have gone either way. Vitto took it to 5 games, with slightly better shots from an unorthodox player. Kyle playing #7 took it 3-0 and Theo playing #8 had a strong 3-0 win.  Coaching one another very cohesive and well done.

Choate:  This was a very challenging match! Choate has highly rated lineup 5s for #1-5.  We had 2 wins: Brendan at #1 battled fearlessly against Rodrigo with final win at 3-1, #2 Dylan played progressively better during his match; Theo victorious at #8 winning 3-1 in close games.  No Benjy for this one: alas the stage was calling! Everyone else results show how strong Choate is right now!!!
