The 6th Annual Pie Making Workshop!

The 6th Annual Pie Making Workshop, held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, was the biggest for Hopkins yet. The parent and child teams, along with more than 50 volunteers, made over 100 Cranberry Crunch and Apple Caramel Pies. Each team took home one pie, while the remainder of the pies were donated to the "Thanksgiving for All" program organized by Interfaith Volunteer Care Givers and the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen. The pies were delivered to New Haven-area families along with a full Thanksgiving dinner.

Each pie-making team learned how to make the pies from our very own French teacher Naomi Senzer, who led the class with her own children, Sam '26 and Beyla '24, as assistants.

The event was co-chaired by parents Kavita Joshi, Ann Zipcan, and Marissa Latshaw representing the HPA's Service Committee, which is dedicated to creating opportunities for families to work together.  The Hopkins Service Department, led by Alissa Davis, spearheaded the event.  All were proud to partner with IVCG, Executive Director Dan Camenga, Hop parent, and Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen to truly bring "Thanksgiving to All."
