Great Double Header at Kneisel today!

Our Exeter match was unbelievably CLOSE (only 2 points in the 5th) and a nailbiter at the end!!! What I want you to take away is that we WILL play them again and can beat them, as evidenced by the game scores individually.  Vitto battled against an opponent who had surprisingly good pickup and a tricky style.  Kyle played well, had close game scores against the unusually exuberant Exeter guy.  Dev took a game from a player with equal rating which means next time, the guy is in trouble! Benjy also took a game with skillful chosen placement and good showmanship. Ronan's first game at 20-18 set the tone for close points and win---great decisive volley drops and shots.  Dylan played patiently and deep, controlling his match making it look easy! Brendan showed no mercy, with his tight rails, precision drops, and strong scores--very well done.  Thank you for being the well-mannered, hard-working team that you are. It's not over yet: we still have New Englands and Nationals to take on Exeter again! Our Andover match was tough: they are a team with a lot of depth with highly rated players down the line, and they are polite. Clean, dynamic and aggressive playing by The Brendan Tagliarini gave us 1 win which was a super-entertaining match to watch!!! His opponent was exhausted at the end: excellent.  Games taken by Ronan at #1 and Vitto at #7 show the possibility of turning around a match or two, and may help ratings.  After a long match with Exeter, I laud the sportsmanship, effort in this match.  The team is consistently closely watching and coaching one another. Great effort and decent match against highly rated Andover.
