Honoring our own on International Women's Day

During assembly on March 8, the Hopkins community celebrated International Women’s Day. The festivities included presentations on feminism and intersectionality from students in Topics in Women’s History and Intro to Social Justice classes, as well as a musical performance from the Jazz Band.

Afterward, students continued the annual Hopkins tradition of recognizing five women of distinction within our community in honor of Women’s History Month; “These women are the epitome of kindness, strength, leadership, and compassion. They are empowering figures in our community and make Hopkins a better place.” Thank you, Dr. Hooks, Mrs. Ramos-Willey, Ms. Horsley, Ms. Bray, and Mrs. Connelly for all that you’ve done for our community!
