    Head Coach: Angelina Massoia

The Hopkins softball program has been strong and successful for more than three decades. The team joined the Fairchester League in the spring of 2015.  Hopkins student-athletes hold the value of sportsmanship in the highest regard, and the softball team holds this value at its core.  The team takes great pride in referring to themselves as a “family,” the tradition of which has been a major contributor to their 30-plus winning seasons since the mid 1970s.

Every other year, as part of pre-season practice, a dozen players spend a week at Disney World in the ESPN Spring Training program. It is a terrific experience for the girls to compete against high school teams across the country, as well as a wonderful “bonding vacation.”

Head Coach Angelina Massoia has been with Hopkins since the 2017-2018 school year. Massoia is a 2016 graduate of Wesleyan University, where she started for the Cardinals at infield, outfield, and pitcher. Prior to college, Coach Massoia pitched and played shortstop at Suffield Academy, where she helped lead them to 3 NEPSAC tournament appearances.  At Hopkins, she is a member of the Science Department and is an assistant coach for the Hopkins JV Volleyball team.
