The Varsity Boys Tennis Program at Hopkins has established a lasting legacy of success in its interscholastic competition, particularly in recent years, balancing proficiency on the court with the development of long-term friendships, enhanced by regular Friday night team dinners at the homes of players’ families. The total reconstruction of Hopkins 11 court complex in 2007--2008 provided the team with a first class facility to encourage further development of players’ games. Not coincidentally, since the completion of the newly reconstructed tennis courts, Hopkins became a finalist in the New England Prep School “B” Division Team Tournament for the first time in 2009, and won this tournament back to back in 2010 and 2011. During the course of the spring months, Hopkins competes regularly in the Kingswood Invitational Tennis Tournament and the Fairchester Tennis League Tournament, in addition to the New England Prep School Team Tournament mentioned above. Hopkins regular dual meet season consists of approximately 16 contests. Hopkins dual meet record over the past four seasons has been an impressive 56-7! Hopkins stronger players have an option to apply for an invitation to the New England Prep School Invitational Tennis Tournament at the conclusion of our regular season.
