NHCCC Performs a Lunar New Year Celebration

On Thursday, February 22, the New Haven Chinese Cultural Cooperative (NHCCC) performed a Lunar New Year celebration in Upper Heath Commons, where viewers experienced traditional Chinese music, including Lunar New Year favorites, a variety of ensemble pieces, and a dance from different cultural traditions in the Chinese-speaking world. Hopkins teachers Lely Evans & Naomi Senzer are a part of the NHCCC, where Evans plays the guzheng (古箏) and Senzer plays the dizi (笛子).
