Hopkins JV Wins opening game

The Hopkins JV basketball team traveled to Canterbury School, opening the 2018-19 season with a 24-15 win. 
 
A strong first half highlighted by solid defense found Hop leading 9-4. Offense picked up in the second with sophmore sensations Kaila Spearman and Milan Yorke leading the team with with 9 and 5 points each. Junior Sam Derrico added 4 and J school standout Olanma  Ikekpeazu 3 points. Freshman Caroline Meury playing point guard had numerous assists. freshman Maria Cusick and Abby Regan added 2 points. Sophmore Anajah Williams grabbed 5 rebounds and 2 steals.Ruth Aromolaran had a rebound and a shot in her first Game!
 
Hopkins will host Rival Greenwich Academy at home on Monday December 10th
