Saira Munshani '20 a finalist in the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair

Saira Munshani '20 is a finalist participating in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) this week. Intel ISEF is the worlds largest pre-collegiate science competition. Saira was a winner at the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair in March, and was chosen along with seven other students to represent CT at Intel ISEF. Saira is presenting research she conducted at the Ehrlich Laboratory at the Yale School of Medicine. Her research is “Finding a Therapy for Wolfram Syndrome: Exploring a Calcium Signaling Pathway as a Target for a Disease without a Cure”

Each year, approximately 1,800 high school students from more than 75 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research.

Intel ISEF unites these top young scientific minds, showcasing their talents on an international stage, where doctoral level scientists review and judge their work. Good luck, Saira!
