Mathcounts Team Places First at Chapter Competition



The Hopkins Junior School Mathcounts team participated in the Mathcounts 2024 Chapter Competition on Saturday, Feb. 3. The 10 students on the team had a great day with coach Megan Williams, with one team of four winning first place overall. Jonathan Zhou ‘28 won first place in the countdown round and second place overall in the written competition.  Marguerite Pennington ‘28 won third place overall in the written competition, and Elaine Zhou ‘29 got third place in the countdown round and fourth place overall in the written competition.  The fourth member of the team Olivia Wang ‘28 was just outside the top 4 of the written competition.
