Rye proved to be a formidable young opponent today in our competition at the SUNY Purchase tennis courts this windy, cold afternoon. In singles and in doubles, our boys played their best and tried their hardest, yet the Wildcats foiled many of the Hilltoppers' attempts to gain a foothold in their matches. Only Max was able to persevere against a young and wildly talented rookie, who played brilliant tennis against our Line 1 veteran, especially in the first set. Max really fought to take the second set and then was able to jump to a solid lead early in the deciding tiebreaker.

We coaches are proud that our boys gave 100% today. The Hilltoppers will regroup tomorrow and will get ourselves ready for our next match, which is at home on Saturday versus Kingswood-Oxford in the New England's format of six singles, three doubles with "repeats."

YEAH HOP!
