Hopkins fought a long hard three game match against a tough Choate team, losing 30-28, 30-27, 30-25. The girls played their hardest and I'm very proud of them. Senior Kate Lupo played to perfection and I couldn't ask anything more of her. She had 12 service points, 5 aces, 26 attacks, 11 kills, 33 passes, 12 digs, and 10 solo blocks. Simply stated, "an unbelievable performance". Senior Victoria Havlicek had tough time getting involved in the offense. However, she still had a solid performance with 10 service points, 16 attacks, 6 kills, and 2 blocks. Senior Aleks Romano was unable to get her game going at the net and had an extremely rough day, but helped tremendously on the defensive side. In addition to the seniors' stellar performances, Micha Thompson shined at the service line with 19 service points and 2 aces, while Allison Lyons finished her first volleyball season with 26 attacks, 8 aces and 4 blocks. It's sad to see all come to an end, but it was a great season and I thank all of my girls for their hard work and dedication.
