This morning began with a spirited performance by Yale University's Whim'n Rhythm female a cappella group. The group performed 4 songs at assembly, and for one of these, We Are by Sweet Honey in the Rock, Whim'n Rhythm invited both Hopkins girls a cappella groups, Spirens and Triple Trio to perform with them. This is the first time ever that our two girls groups have performed together, a historical event for Hopkins a cappella!
The visit was arranged by Whim'n Rhythm alum and Hopkins faculty Jessica Dunn, who is also faculty advisor to the Spirens. The three groups got together for a workshop prior to today's performance, and thanks to Mrs. Dunn, Hopkins history has been made! Thank you Mrs. Dunn and Whim'n Rhythm for your performance today.
