Hopkins Students Shine in CT COLT Poetry Recitation Contest

Hopkins School students delivered an outstanding performance in the 2026 Connecticut Council of Language Teachers (CT COLT) Poetry Recitation Contest, earning recognition across multiple languages and levels.

This year, Hopkins was one of 42 participating schools in the statewide competition, which brings together hundreds of students to celebrate language, literature, and performance. Throughout the contest, students recite selected poems in a wide range of languages.

26 out of 32 Hopkins participants were awarded medals in the contest: 15 Gold, 7 Silver, and 4 Bronze.
