  • Water Polo Girls Varsity

    2012 - 2013
    Head Coach: Charles Elrick

Girls' Water Polo welcomes players of all abilities to join a team dedicated to learning, improving, and developing a love for the sport.

Water Polo has been a sport at Hopkins since 1996.  In 2005, enough interest had generated to support a Boys' team in the fall and a Girls' team in the spring.  Many former water polo players have gone onto great success playing for college varsity and club teams.  Additionally, past players have gone on to be collegiate captains, and some are even now coaches at the collegiate level.

Head Coach Jason Nevis has been an assistant with the program since 2016, and took over as head in 2022.  At Hopkins, Coach Nevis serves as the Head Coach for both Boys and Girls Water Polo teams, as well as Head Coach for Swimming & Diving, and is the Director of Aquatics.  He played water polo in Northern California from age 6 until switching to rowing competitively for Long Beach State.  He has been a head coach for both swimming and diving as well as water polo for five schools in Southern California, and is a water polo official.
