    2019 - 2020
    Head Coach: Tim Phipps

The Hopkins Football tradition is strong, dating all the way back to Walter Camp, widely credited as the father of American football and a Hopkins School alumnus.  The football program strives to teach fundamentals to its players while instilling a love for the game.

Hopkins offers football at three levels:  Junior School (7th & 8th grade), Junior Varsity, and Varsity.  The Varsity team competes in the Metropolitan Independent Football League (MIFL), which features teams in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.  The football teams practice and compete on Parr Field; this field is newly renovated as of the 2014 season and is made of artificial turf.

Tim Phipps began serving as Head Coach for the 2015 football season.  He has been coaching for over 15 years.  He has served on three All Star Staffs, including two New Haven County All Star teams as a quarterback coach.  He has previously served as an offensive and special teams coordinator, quarterback coach, and head coach.  Coach Phipps is also a member of the Hopkins History Department.
