A Successful First Day of School!

On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, the entire Hopkins community gathered on Parr Field for an all-school assembly to begin the 2021–22 school year. It was inspiring for all students, faculty and staff to gather together in person on campus once again.

Head of School Dr. Bynum opened assembly with a welcome message, and was followed by StuCo president Albert '22, who shared the number of days each grade has remaining at Hopkins, a yearly tradition! Director of Community Safety Mr. Burke shared updated health and safety guidance and Director of Dining Services Mr. King explained this year's lunch procedures.

To end assembly, Art Department Chair Robert Smith introduced seniors Ava, Brandon and Joanna, assisted by Paula, who shared a beautiful performance of "Cafe Music" and sent the school "off to class!"  Watch their full performance below.
