Dwayne Betts Awarded MacArthur Fellowship

Dwayne Betts – Hopkins’ first Writer-in-Residence, poet, non-fiction writer, legal scholar, and Hopkins parent – was recently awarded a 2021 MacArthur Fellowship. The Fellowship, unofficially referred to as the "Genius Grant," is a prize awarded annually to 20 to 30 individuals have shown "extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction."
