On Wednesday, February 7, Hopkins celebrated the Lunar New Year with a community-wide event in Upper Heath.

The Chinese language department and many parent volunteers arranged a joyful and lively celebration to welcome the Year of the Dragon. Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed traditional calligraphy, crafts, games, and food, including hundreds of freshly-made dumplings, bubble tea, and sweets.

Hopkins was honored to host Mr. Hou Tien Cheng who shared his intricate paper-cutting skills in a live demonstration, as well as Master Guo from Wu Dang Kung Fu Academy who ran a Martial Arts workshop and performance.
