Ching ('20) Ranked First, Breaks Records
Congratulations are in order for Sapphira Ching (’20), who is currently ranked by USA Fencing’s 14 & under division as #1 in Connecticut, #1 in New England, and #1 in Region 3 (New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania)! She is the first 14&U Saberuse from New England in this season from New England to qualify for the 2017 Nationals Cadet (17&U) Women’s Saber Event. In her competitions since August, Sapphy has walked away with 1 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
Additionally, Sapphira recently became the youngest All-Three-Weapon (saber, foil, and epee) Referee in the history of New England!
