Sapphira Ching won the USA Fencing 2019 CT Fencer's Excellence Award, and Elliot Siegel was the Runner-Up!
One male and one female fencer are nominated per club. Nominees are then considered based on their local, national, and international fencing accolades, reputation as team players, academic success, and service to Connecticut. Recipients earn a trophy, certificate, and scholarships. In addition, the winners are expected to work as ambassadors for USA Fencing Connecticut by helping initiatives to bring fencing to under served communitites. Congratulations Sapphira & Elliot!
