Hopkins follows the footsteps of the 101st Airborne Division on WWII Trip

During the Hopkins Spring Break, faculty members Mr. DeNaples, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Nicolelli, Mr. Werrell, and Mr. Young led 30 students on a WWII Trip across Europe. They followed the footsteps of the 101st Airborne Division, the specialized light infantry division of the U.S. Army trained for air assault operations. Covering 1800 miles and five countries over two weeks, the group explored the hallowed grounds of Normandy, Bastogne, and Dachau while also enjoying lighter stops along the way such as Piccadilly Circus, medieval Liege, and beautiful Salzburg. Each destination was “a trip of a lifetime”, according to many of the kids.
