Hopkins Girls Tennis Wins New England Championship for Second Consecutive Year


On Sunday, May 19, the Hopkins Girls Tennis team won the New England Championship for the second year in a row. 

The championship began on Saturday, the 18th, at the New England Quarterfinals, where the Girls Tennis team defeated Hotchkiss School by a score of 5-4, and then won the Semifinals against Andover School by a score of 5-1. Finally, on Sunday, May 19, the Girls Tennis team secured their victory over Winsor School by a score of 5-4 in a thrilling win on the Hopkins campus.

The Girls Tennis team is coached by Michael McManus and Susan Bennitt, and is captained by Kiersten B. ’24, Giulia C. ’24, and Margot S. ’24. Stay tuned for a behind the scenes look at the championship in the next issue of the Views magazine this summer!
