Hopkins History Club Secures Top Honors at Connecticut History Bowl & Bee

On March 7, the History Club sent 14 students to Sandy Hook High School for the 2026 Connecticut History Bowl & Bee. Both Hopkins teams took home top honors.

The Varsity Team (Ashley D. ’27, Nathan D. ’27, and Todd X. ’27) and the Middle School Team (David Z. ’30, Sophia Z. ’30, Rohee C. ’30, and Jinghan L. ’30) both earned 2nd place in their respective divisions. Additionally, Walker S. ’27, Nathan D. ’27, and Todd X. ’27 placed first in the Political Science, US History, and Geography Bees.

Both teams and the individual Bee champions have now qualified for the National History Bowl in Arlington, VA, this April. Furthermore, the Varsity Team has secured a spot at the International History Olympiad in 2027.
