Class of 2026 Seniors Give Back During Senior Service

On May 27 and 28, 2026, as part of their annual senior service, the Class of 2026 spent two days volunteering for causes in New Haven and the surrounding areas. Students assisted local nonprofits with various community projects, including landscaping, painting, cleaning, housing construction, and sorting donated goods.

Local organizations included:
  • Bridgeport Habitat for Humanity
  • Connecticut Foodshare
  • Connecticut Mental Health Center
  • Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen
  • Friends Center for Children
  • Garden for Healing
  • Girl Scout Camp An-Se-Ox
  • Homes for the Brave
  • Mary Wade Nursing Home
  • New Haven Housing Authority
  • Quinnipiac River Fund
  • Save the Sound
  • Special Olympics Connecticut
  • Sunrise Cafe New Haven
Alongside independent volunteering throughout the year, the Hopkins tradition of Senior Service Week remains a meaningful part of the senior experience, bringing the entire class together to give back to the community.
