Hopkins Athletics Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open
This fall, during Homecoming 2026, Hopkins School will celebrate a milestone in its athletic history with the induction of the inaugural class of the Hopkins Athletics Hall of Fame. The first Hall of Fame in the School’s history, the Hall will recognize alumni, coaches, teams, administrators, and community contributors from Hopkins School, The Hopkins Grammar School (HGS), and Day Prospect Hill School (DPH).
As Hopkins prepares for its first Hall of Fame induction ceremony, members of the Hopkins community are invited to submit nominations for consideration. Members selected will have distinguished themselves through athletic achievement, leadership, sportsmanship, character, perseverance, and service. The Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame also serves as a way to preserve and share the rich history of athletics at Hopkins while strengthening connections among alumni, current students, families, and friends of the School.
“Establishing an Athletics Hall of Fame is an exciting opportunity to honor the individuals and teams who have helped shape the proud tradition of Hopkins Athletics,” said Athletic Director Rocco DeMaio. “We encourage alumni, families, former coaches, and friends of the School to help us identify those whose accomplishments and contributions deserve recognition.”
Criteria
The Hall of Fame will recognize individuals and teams in four categories: Student-Athlete, Coach/Administrator, Team, and Community Contributor. The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will evaluate nominees based on a combination of factors, including athletic achievement, leadership, character, sportsmanship, integrity, perseverance, and overall impact on the Hopkins community. Collegiate, national, and professional accomplishments may also be considered for former student-athletes who competed in interscholastic athletics while attending Hopkins.
Nominations may be submitted by any member of the Hopkins community, though self-nominations will not be accepted. Candidates who are not selected for the inaugural class will remain under consideration for future induction cycles.
Timeline
The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will review nominations throughout the spring. Nominations are due February 1, with committee recommendations completed by April 1 and final selections made by May 1 ahead of the inaugural induction ceremony during Homecoming 2026.
