Hopkins Legends: A Record-Breaking Day of Giving

This year’s Day of Giving broke records and brought the community together in the spirit of appreciation and generosity.

Held on May 6–7, the community had 24 hours, with 530 donors raising $403,020 to support the School and its mission. One hundred percent of the Day of Giving challenges were met, including $125,000 in matching gifts. Forty-one young alumni made a gift, and the Class of 1991 had the highest participation rate, raising $13,591.

The theme of this Day of Giving was “Hopkins Legends,” which honored community members of the past and present who have made a true impact on Hopkins students. Taking place during Teacher Appreciation Week, the Day of Giving video and several social media posts centered around the idea of honoring legends on the Hill.

Have a look below at some of the output from an exciting week at Hopkins.

Who Do You Appreciate?

Here are the two parts of a social media series gathered last month at an Appreciation Shout-Out Station during Media Day. In this series, people shout out faculty and staff members who brighten their days and make Hopkins feel like home.
