Fencing Finishes with Wins

The Varsity Fencing teams recently wrapped up their seasons with some astounding results.
In the Team State competition, each of the boys' squads (foil, sabre, and epee) were undefeated, securing a first place finish for each.  The girls' team was successful as well, with the sabre squad taking second place.

At the Individual State competition, Hopkins shone!  Aman Bakshi '28 won back-to-back championships in men's foil, and made First Team All-State.  Henrietta Hall '27 took first in the women's epee, and made First Team All-State.  Other medalists included:  Oliver Tsao '27 (2nd men's sabre, First Team All-State), Sam Ridky '26 (3rd men's sabre, First Team All-State), Mohsen Ahmed '29 (3rd men's epee, First Team All-State), Mateus Witczak '26 (5th men's sabre, First Team All-State), Aurora Aden '29 (3rd women's epee, First Team All-State), and Brock Bowen '27 (8th men's sabre, Second Team All-State).

Additionally, men's sabre was the first squad in CHSFA history to have all 4 competitors for a single squad medal!

Finally, several members of the Fencing team were undefeated during the regular season:  Aman Bakshi (12-0), Richard Helmy (12-0), and Mateus Witczak (26-0).

Congratulations on a great season!
