    The Boys Basketball Program at Hopkins is dedicated to mastering the fundamentals of the game while still competing at a high level.  The program consists of boys from grades 7 through 12 playing at the Junior School (grades 7 and 8), Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels.  The Varsity level competes in the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA), as well as non-league games consisting of other NEPSAC schools.

    Dennis Kelly joined the Hopkins Basketball program as the Boys Varsity Head Coach for the 2025-26 season.  He is the Founder and Program Director of Dribble Drive Basketball and Dribble Drive Overdrive, which focus on skill and player development.  Kelly is currently the Director of Basketball for the Diocese of Bridgeport, serving grades 3-8.  He is a USA Basketball Certified Coach and a member of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association.

    Coach Kelly was previously recognized as an All-New York City guard while attending Nazareth High School.  He went on to graduate from Siena University, and began a career at IBM.  During that time, he was also an NCAA Division I referee, and was able to officiate both postseason NCAA games and NBA games.  Additionally, Kelly was the Director of the College Basketball Officials Association.
